The Oak Ridges Posse today announced they have added slugging right fielder Sammy Sosa. Sosa was acquired from the South Indiana Mud Hens, along with prospect Michael Aubrey, for their 1st round selection in the Spring Waiver Draft, the Pioneers 2nd round selection in the minor league draft and $40K.
Sammy Sosa brings another rumored steroid user to the Posse, which happens to promote the success of their own steroid program. Sosa will see some time in right field in power hitting parks and may force the franchise to move the fences in. Aubrey comes to the Posse after fighting back and leg injuries for the last three years. The Posse management is rolling the dice to see if he can stay healthy after a strong fall season.
