16-year old is made the Posse's third selection

Historically the Posse have not made much of an investment in the international market, but they changed all of that last year when they built a complex in Jamaica last year. Yes, I know...Jamaica! Why would they build it in Jamaica? Well, it is close to all of the Caribbean markets and sometimes the management's wives have a say. After building the complex they made a splash by taking two of the top international prospects in Carlos Triunfel and Yu Darvish. They have since traded Triunfel away, but Darvish is probably the teams top pitching prospect. This year the international office added a third player to their resume in 16 year old outfielder Juan Duran.

"Whenever you draft a prospect you are taking a gamble because you just do not know how they will turn out. Well, with international players that gamble is even bigger.", GM Shawn Luddington was quoted as saying. "We are comfortable that Juan is worth that gamble".

Duran is a huge 6'6" right handed hitting outfielder that brings uber-tools to the ballpark. He has 80 power potential, gets amazing loft on the ball, he is a plus runner and also has a strong arm. Even though he has the potential to be a center fielder, he is still very tall and as he adds muscle he will probably move to a corner outfield position.
