The following are the rankings of the Posse's 36 minor league prospects for June:
Nick Blackburn (1) - Blackburn continues to improve in the majors. He is on his way to 200 innings with a WHIP in the 1.25-1.35 range.
Jeff Clement (2) - Back in the majors, but not showing the bat he has showed in AAA.
Chris Volstad (5) - Not a great month for Chris, but a promotion to Marlins rotation moves him up from 5.
Cameron Maybin (3) - Maybin is knocking on the door of the Marlins but a hot CFer is allowing them to be patient.
Neftali Feliz (6) - Neftali was promoted...jumping High A ball.
Jason Heyward (4) - May be the top prospect in the entire minors...time he was promoted to High A ball. Only a couple of promotions dropped him down.
Jeremy Hellickson (7) - Also promoted to AA, he had one really bad start which kept him from moving to #6.
Jordan Walden (8) - Walden's June Numbers: 28 IP, 15 H, 3 ER, 10 BB, 27 K's. A promotion could be coming.
Yu Darvish (11) - Darvish has been getting back to his old ways but a weak month and an injury allow him to move up a couple spots.
Blake Beavan (9) - Not a bad month, but also not what Blake usually produces knocks him down a spot.
Michael Burgess (14) - Power hitter is starting to make better contact. He went .277/.411/.506 for the month.
Matt Dominguez (12) - Hit .297/.350/.418 for the month. A little more power would be nice to see from this future gold glover.
Hank Conger (10) - Had a great month (.319/.367/.493), but another injury puts question marks in my head.
Chris Marrero (16) - The bat finally started to come (.294/.338/.559) and then he twisted an ankle sliding into home.
Jeff Niemann (13) - Same old Niemann. Injuries, short starts and solid numbers.
Josh Vitters (27) - Biggest mover upwards. Vitters started to remove doubts by hitting .357/.383/.536
Neil Ramirez (26) - Another fast riser, hitters hit only .089 over 3 June starts.
Tim Beckham (19) - Signed and sealed at end of month. Struggled with bat to start but showed patience in small sampling.
Aaron Hicks (21) - Many thought he would be slow developing but so far he is one of the best 2008 high schoolers. Hit .286/.394/.321.
Kyle Skipworth (20) - Signed early but went 0 for 8 in June.
Michael Aubrey (15) - Aubrey is dropping fast and probably will not remain in the organization much longer.
Juan Duran (22) - Great start in DSL (.286/.409/.486) for 16 year old.
Dellin Betances (17) - Betances has a ton of talent and could be in the top 10 of this list...a demotion to GCL moves him in the wrong direction.
Justin Jackson (18) - Horrible month may make Jackson a casualty in the offseason.
Isaac Galloway (28) - Surprising signing heads to GCL.
Tim Melville (23) - Word is this 4th rounder will sign but not until August. He has mid first round talent.
Casey Kelly (24) - Boston will sign their 1st rounder but it will take a while.
Devin Shepherd (26) - Signed by St. Louis but a little slow in getting on the field.
Alex Meyer (25) - I expect he will head to college but if anyone can get this guy signed, it's Boston!
Yung-Il Jung (29) - Still has not made an appearance.
Daniel Webb (30) - Probably headed to Kentucky with Meyer.
Harold Martinez (31) - Could be a first rounder in 2011 after heading to Miami.
Mychal Givens - (33) Through a couple showcases he was a top 3 prospect for 2009.
Zach Wheeler (35) - Rated the top right handed starter in a couple showcases.
Jeff Malm (34) - Looks like a top 20 2009 draftee but alot can change.
Marcus Davis - 2010 draftee
